Doctor Aphra, former “Darth Vader” supporting castmember and star of her own upcoming ongoing comic book series, is the most recent winner of a fan poll to determine which “Star Wars ” character will get an action figure in 2018.
Doctor Aphra will be included in Hasbro’s Vintage Collection 3.75 inch line in 2018. No designs for the figure have been revealed, though Hasbro did release concept art. [‘Star Wars’ 40th Anniversary Gift Guide ]
The figure will be unique in that it will be the first to be based on a character created entirely as part of the current line of Marvel Comics. Whether this could open the door to adaptations of other “Star Wars” comic book characters remain to be seen.
