NASA’s Global Precipitation Measurement captured data on the storm on Sept. 29th, 2014. Its showed a large of the hurricane dumping 2 to 5 inches of rain (shown in red and magenta) into the Atlantic ocean. Tall convective towers (shown in orange) are strong indication of its strengthening energy.
