Photons Can Be Cute Too! How ICESat-2 Will Measure Elevation – Animated Short

NASA’s Ice, Cloud and Land Elevation Satellite-2 (ICESat-2) “will measure the height of a changing Earth, one laser pulse at a time, 10,000 laser pulses a second,” according to the space agency’s Goddard Space Flight Center. They’ve created displayed the process through an animated short starring “Pho the photon.”
