A Minuteman III rocket was launched from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California on May 3, 2017. According to Air Force Global Strike Command, “the purpose of the ICBM test launch program is to validate and verify the effectiveness, readiness and accuracy of the weapon system.” [Full Story]
