Streams of Light From Stellar Explosion Seen in ALMA Observations | Video

New Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA)  observations of the Orion Nebula complex has revealed a stunning view of a stellar explosion. The colors in the new image represent “relative Doppler shifting of the millimetre-wavelength light emitted by carbon monoxide gas,” according to the European Southern Observatory.
